The Choirs

Bless, O Lord, us thy servants, who minister in thy temple; Grant that what we sing with our lips, we may believe in our hearts; and what we believe in our hearts, we may show forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
-The Choristers’ Prayer, Royal, School of Church Music

The chief choir at St. Thomas’ Church is the whole community gathered for worship. The Psalmist encourages us to sing new songs to the Lord. Our voices and all our being were designed to praise the Creator. Regardless of your singing ability, God loves to hear your voice.

St. Thomas’ is blessed to have a vibrant and growing music program, fueled by the donation of time, talent, and resources of its parishioners. We are fortunate to present great choral music in worship and in concert, and the participants of all ages in the program are educated, equipped, and empowered to be advocates for music in the world around them. The choirs enjoy learning about the church, its music, and God’s word expressed through song while having fun together. I invite you all to join us in the fall for music‑making and fellowship. Please find information about our musical groups, their goals, and rehearsal times in this brochure. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or to let me know how we can serve you the best.

We have music opportunities and choirs for all ages, and all levels of experience. We invite you to find a place in one of our choirs. The Music Department is housed in Groton House, on the south side of the church building.
