The Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard

The Community Cupboard serves Ambler and the surrounding Montgomery County community by being a facilitator of ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’. They provide food, clothing, furniture, and household items for people in need, connect people in need with programs and agencies that can help meet their needs, and develop programs which strengthen families in stress.

St. Thomas’ has supported the Community Cupboard in a variety of ways. Currently, St. Thomas gives abundantly through the monthly donation of canned foods collected at each month’s Family Worship. Following each collection, Sean Martin and Ellen Martin deliver hundreds of pounds of canned foods to Mattie Dixon, assuring their shelves are stocked for those in need. Help by bringing your canned goods. You make a difference!

If you are interested in learning more about St. Thomas’ collaboration with the Community Cupboard, or have new ideas for how we can help support them, please contact Brenda Sullivan brsullygardens@gmail.com.
