Ministry of Meals

Since 1996, our parishioners have cooked and assembled 50 to 150 meals annually. The meals are frozen, transported to a collection center and then distributed by the “friendly visitors” of our partner, Aid For Friends (a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization), to frail, elderly and disabled homebound people throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

For more information, please contact Pam Serra at 215-885-9626 or pam@msk-traderisk.com.

In their own words

Food and friendship’ – those words are part of the Aid For Friends logo and they are part of what happens when our Ministry of Meals groups meet to prepare the dinners for our clients. Stories are shared and burdens are lifted while we work to create nutritional meals for those who are in need. Doing good and having fun is a most satisfying combination. But the smiles on the faces of my clients, Sam and Ida May, when I walk through their door with my weekly delivery of 14 meals, is surely the most rewarding the part of all.
-Pam Serra, Ministry of Meals Coordinator
