EYC stands for Episcopal Youth Community. Just as we gather together at St. Thomas’, we are also joining the larger Episcopal community around the world in prayer, love, tradition and respect. EYC is an opportunity for the Youth of St. Thomas’ to form lasting relationships with each other and with God. EYC will take place each Sunday following the Faith @ Five service from 6-8pm. Junior High students between 6th and 8th grade are invited to join EYC on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Senior High students between 9thand 12th grade will have EYC each week. We will share dinner together and make memories that will stay with you forever. Make sure to bring $5 with you to pay for dinner! Take a glance at the offerings below.
S3, or Second Sunday Social, is an opportunity for fellowship and (sometimes messy) fun open to all Junior and Senior High students. S3 takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month generally from 6-8pm. Locations and costs will change monthly and will be communicated through social media, email, and texts.
Dinner Church is a fun way to get to know each other, break bread, and reach deeper into scripture together. All Junior and Senior High students are welcome to join us in the Kitchen and MacColl auditorium from 6-8pm on the 4th Sunday of each month.
This Senior High only offering, Nooma Nights, will take place on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month from 6-8pm in the Youth Cafe. We will use Nooma videos as a base for rich discussion and meaningful connection.
We need Adult Chaperones and volunteers to donate dinner for the group for all EYC offerings. Diocesan Safe Church policy recommends that one adult attendee, acting as chaperone, be present per every five youth at all times during Youth Ministry events & activities. If you choose to donate dinner for the group, Erika will contact you the week of to arrange the meal. NOTE: $5 per student will still be collected and will go towards our fundraising goal for Mission Possible 2017.
Adult volunteers do NOT need to be parents, either. Do you know a college student, aunt, uncle, grandparent, or family friend who may be interested in leading a class? Have them contact Erika Bower at email@example.com.
