“The Social Justice Bible Challenge,” edited by our Rector, Marek Zabriskie, will be given out after the 8am, 9:15am and 10am services on Sunday, to all families and individuals who would like to receive them!
Social justice is not a liberal Christian way of seeing religion and society but is at the heart of the Christian experience. There is no such thing as a solitary Christian. We lead our faith in the context of community. We encourage you to participate in one of the opportunities at St. Thomas’ Church or the Hill at Whitemarsh or Foulkeways to read and reflect upon the most recent book The Social Justice Bible Challenge edited by our Rector with entries by 25 authors from around the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. We highly recommend inviting your friends and family to join us in The Bible Challenge. Wednesdays at St. Thomas’ from 11 a.m. to noon in Hutchinson Hall in the Emily Norris Carey Learning Center October 4, 11, 25 and Nov. 1. Wednesday evenings October 4, 11, 18 and 25 in Hutchinson Hall from 7 – 8:30 p.m. with dinner provided. RSVP to Anita Burke at firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Mondays before each Wednesday session.
